At East Ardsley Primary Academy we believe that early education is essential to give the children the skills, knowledge and experiences they need to prepare themselves for school and their future learning. We focus on developing all the pre-learning skills children need to become successful learners: listening skills, social skills such as , counting, experience of stories, making and doing, exploring ideas and learning to express themselves.
There is free-flow continuous access to our indoor and outdoor provision. The children lead their own learning as the adults who work alongside them encourage and support them in developing new language and learning to follow the daily routines. The environment is set up to inspire and guide the children's play giving them everything they need to build their independence and to learn to be part of a group.
Children will be offered a place to start with us the first half term after they turn three years old. The nursery will continually assess availability of places and make offers to the next family on the waiting list, in order of priority.
Children will be invited to start in the nursery on a mutually agreed date that is appropriate to both the family and the nursery. Please note, in line the Schools Admissions code, a place in our nursery does not guarantee a Reception place at our Academy but you can find all details of how to apply on our how to apply to reception information. We will support you with any application you choose to make.
